M.L.A. | 2025 Olmsted Scholar
As senior landscape designer for the City of Rochester, N.Y., my day job encompasses a wide scope of work ranging from construction project management for parks and playgrounds to designing a new planting bed at the historic Mt. Hope Cemetery and the first Miyawaki Forest in Upstate New York.
Drawing on my training in photojournalism and a career as heavy-highway bridge carpenter, I bring a practical, thoughtful approach to my work.
Landscapes, whether they be a public park or private garden, have the potential to be immersive, habitat havens for people and pollinators. Aesthetics is often one of the last considerations in ecologically-driven designs, but it need not be.
In my personal work, I focus on site-specific design that harmonizes human needs and ecological benefits, crafting an alluring space you’ll relish coming home to.
